I Beg Your Pardon

"I Beg Your Pardon" (also titled as "I Beg Your Pardon (I Never Promised You a Rose Garden)") is a song by Canadian synthpop band Kon Kan, released as the first single from their 1989 debut album ''Move to Move''.
The song contains various samples of other songs, including Lynn Anderson's 1970 hit "Rose Garden", as well as samples of GQ's "Disco Nights (Rock-Freak)" and Silver Convention's "Get Up and Boogie". Recreated samples of Spagna's "Call Me" and the opening bars of the theme from the film ''The Magnificent Seven'' are also present in the song.
The song was a hit, reaching the top twenty in a number of countries including the UK, where it peaked at #5.
